The Yaracuy state government installed 14 territorial teams comprised of public institutions, popular power and organized communities, whose goal is to produce 350,000 seedlings in 112 community nurseries and to plant more than 230 hectares in the state's upper, middle and lower basins.

The Secretary General of Government, Lenyis Martínez, mentioned that the 14 units will carry out the seed collection phase of the Chuquisaca Plan, details a regional press release.

He stressed that the operational goal of this plan in Yaracuy is the collection of 250 kilos of seeds, which will be distributed and processed in the 112 nurseries of the communes registered in the state.

This plant material transformed into seedlings will then be transferred to areas devoid of vegetation cover, for definitive planting in priority hydrographic basins. He pointed out that the Chuquisaca Plan in Yaracuy is being developed “with the articulation of the levels of government and the organized people.”
