A sharing of knowledge in which around 160 people participated took place at the Casa de la Cultura de O cumare de la Costa de Oro in Aragua.

Luis Lovera, secretary of culture of the coastal people, explained that it was a meeting of cultivators, who shared their experiences, knowledge and information about the ancient traditions and faith that characterize the country's Afro community.

“We received these professionals who came eager to know and inform. We gave them a sample of our main tradition, which is the celebration of the day of Saint John the Baptist, an activity that we have protected and cared for because it is of ancient roots that we have inherited,” he explained.

He specified that members of different movements participated, including young people, boys, girls and the elderly, who have been important pillars in maintaining traditions and their essence, since they are protagonists of dissemination through oral culture.

“We are always in favor of the interaction of learning and teaching about national culture,” he said.
