The Bolivarian Government provided 19 new loans to community members in the Iribarren municipality, in the state of Lara, to carry out infrastructure works and socio-productive projects, which will improve the lives of 16,696 inhabitants.

At the event, held in the historic center of Barquisimeto, the political leader of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) in Iribarren, Luis Reyes Flores, stated that “following an instruction from our president Nicolás Maduro, who seeks to empower the people, the process of building a new model of governance continues today in Iribarren.”

He explained that this model is “based on the fulfillment of the mandate of our communities, and that is because for the Bolivarian revolution, transferring resources to the communes is essential because we recognize the capacity of our people to carry out significant works,” the PSUV website reports.

He stressed that there are multiple channels for receiving the population's concerns. “First of all, we received suggestions through the participatory budget and the Concrete Agenda for Action (ACA) in each of the communes that are 132 formally registered in Iribarren, but we also take into account the proposals that arise in each sector we visit.”

The funding granted is intended for projects in key areas such as health and educational infrastructure, electrification, construction of sidewalks and aqueducts, including initiatives for socio-productive development.

“We are receiving this funding thanks to the commitment made by our Revolution, which, in this case, makes the attention of our school population a reality; this resource is to repair the perimeter wall of the Dilcia Moreno de Bossa School,” said Neiby Ramos, a member of the Socialist Commune Battle of Los Cerritos Blancos.
