Governments of Venezuela and India strengthen bilateral relations

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, met this Friday with the Ambassador of India to Venezuela, Ashok Babu, with whom she addressed various issues in the areas of business, health, science and technology, education and energy.
“During the meeting, issues related to #BRICS were addressed and the importance of strengthening bilateral relations for mutual benefit was highlighted. Both parties expressed their commitment to continue working on projects for the welfare of peoples,” the government agency reported on the social network.
Relations between Venezuela and India date back to 1959, during which solid ties of friendship and strategic commercial cooperation were established and sustained, characterized by cordiality, complementarity and mutual respect between peoples.
