With the joy of the little ones and a reflection of the commitment made to the region, Governor Neil Villamizar celebrated on May 25 the first anniversary of the historic elections that defined the legitimate authorities of the territory.

Exactly one year ago, the Essequibano people exercised their right to vote for the first time to elect their governor, legislators of the Legislative Council and deputies to the National Assembly, consolidating a new era of inclusion and comprehensive care.

” What better way to celebrate it than here with the children, who are seeing the fruit of the inclusion of our Guiana Essequiba in every scenario? And here we are, in education,” said the regional president enthusiastically during the deployment.

Institutional and community support

During the activity, the regional president was accompanied by the first lady and president of the Social Action Foundation, Mircela Abad; the entity's sole authority for education; the director of the “Luisa Cáceres de Arismendi” Preschool, as well as by the teaching staff, parents, representatives and the organized community, who joyfully joined the celebration of this governmental milestone.

The commemoration was marked by the formal delivery of two completely renovated classrooms in this preschool. Governor Villamizar recalled that this infrastructure plan started with force after the recent inspection carried out together with the Minister of Popular Power for Education, Héctor Rodríguez.

“Minister Héctor Rodríguez came a few weeks ago, we verified the facilities and started this recovery,” Villamizar explained. “Today the children are here with their new roof, which doesn't leak. We have everything painted, the new door, the new furniture, truly bringing a better environment for the quality education of our children of the future.”

In this sense, the works delivered in these spaces comprehensively contemplate the replacement of ceilings, the aesthetic renovation with general painting, plus a complete set of furniture and new doors that completely transform the reality of the classrooms.

Sowing the Future of the Homeland

During the tour of the renovated facilities, the governor's interaction with the students reflected the hope that exists in the region. Between laughter, drawings and dynamics, the little ones shared their dreams, even imagining “diamond spaceships”, a sample of the creativity that flourishes when working with love for childhood.

With tangible works and a firm commitment to continue consolidating social welfare in the territory, Governor Neil Villamizar reaffirmed the spirit of this first year of administration and that it will continue to reach every corner of the 24th state.
