The governor of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, handed over
five new patrols to the State Police Tourism Brigade with the objective of strengthening the protection of areas
of tourist interest in the region,
as well as for the inhabitants and vacationers of the Central Coast.
“With regard to the
birth of José María España, today La Guaira Day, we have been working
very early and in the company of the Secretary of Public Security, Andrés
Goncalves, we have handed over, on behalf of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro,
five radio patrol units, vehicles 0 km, thus ensuring
peaceful coexistence, the good use of public spaces and security,
making La Guaira the safest state in Venezuela,” said the regional president.
Terán celebrated the
victories achieved in terms of security and assured that these conditions
make it possible to encourage higher levels of tourism “thus creating more sources of
employment and new investments in tourism infrastructure, translating this into benefits
in public services, hospital supplies and social protection in the region”.
“Security attracts
tourism and it generates resources that are reinvested in society and in the
well-being of the people, which is why we continue to bet on the development of the region.
I am proud to command this Police. We are still working on
building the new paradigm of citizen security,” he said.
