The Governor of the state of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, led a technical inspection at the facilities of the La Guaira University Complex, with the objective of supervising the continuity of structural reinforcement and adaptation of the physical plant.
The tour of the five levels of the building was carried out in the company of the director of the National School of Planning, Ricardo Molina; the project's chief architect, Freddy Reyes; and the Secretary of Infrastructure of the Government, Daniel Mata, who evaluated the deployment of the work crews.
The intervened infrastructure, originally built in 1953, is currently undergoing a phase of floor demolition and preparation of supports.
The authorities explained that, after completing the detailed engineering studies and the thorough review of the plans, the application of an architectural upgrade protocol was determined that strictly complies with international construction regulations, guaranteeing the durability of the enclosure.
During the visit, it was highlighted that the workforce responsible for the execution of the project is made up of professionals, technicians and workers belonging to the Guaireña entity, who operate under strict industrial safety measures. The technical advisors highlighted the commitment of the young staff and the collaborative approach of the construction specialists who participate in the physical development of the work.
Finally, the regional president emphasized that the consolidation of this educational space is possible thanks to the coordination and financial support of the National Government, led by President Nicolás Maduro and the President in Charge, Delcy Rodríguez.
With this work, government management seeks to expand opportunities for academic training and transform the university axis for the direct benefit of the youth of the Central Coast.
