This Tuesday, May 6, the candidates of the Great Patriotic Pole Simón Bolívar (GPPSB) for the National Assembly (AN), for the state of Miranda, Gabriela Peña and Gustavo Villapol, emphasized that the National Parliament guarantees compliance with the rights of the People .
The statement was made during their participation in the Right to Speech program, hosted by the candidate and secretary of the GPPSB Electoral Machinery and Voting Defense team, Pedro Infante, through the radio station Millennials FM.
In his speech, Peña indicated that citizen participation is vital, “organic laws, such as that of Community Councils, strengthen the investment of resources. We must promote the social comptroller's office so that people monitor resources from their communities.”
For his part, Villapol, who is also the head of Communication and Propaganda of the Ven25+ Campaign Command, highlighted the importance of face-to-face contact in this campaign, since it is common in Chavism to be close to the people, because these tours allow the necessary approach to listen to their requirements.
“This process of contact and looking people in the eye helps to identify many things (...) this campaign is very beautiful, there is a lot of joy, there is a lot of hope on the street, people are happy, our candidate Elio Serrano has listened to the Mirandino people,” he said.
He also stressed that the AN must be in the hands of Bolivarians, who have made more than 90 laws that have helped in every aspect that the Venezuelan people have needed, improving their quality of life. “Every right we want to conquer is a law,” he said.
He added that peace is a joint achievement between the AN and the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro. “Peace is the only chance we have to emerge as a people. In 2015, the opposition AN tried to break it, but today we continue to defend stability,” he said.
Villapol also called for a vote against violence and extremism. “Every vote is a vote against fascism,” he stressed.
“Projects such as the Family Code and the protection of children and adolescents in digital environments are essential for a technological and modern, but protected Venezuela,” he said.
Peña and Villapol invited them to participate in the electoral simulation this Saturday, May 10, in preparation for the next elections on May 25.
