GPPSB candidates met with workers in Caracas

This Wednesday, July 16, the candidates
of the Great Patriotic Pole Simon Bolivar (GPPSB) held a popular meeting
with the working class of Caracas in Plaza Diego Ibarra, with a view to the municipal elections
scheduled for July 27.
During the day, the mayor of the capital
city and candidate for re-election, Carmen Meléndez, reaffirmed that she will
continue to work with the People on the street. “If the decision of the people of Caracas is for me
to stay on the street working with them, as the people are in charge, we will stay,
” he said.
At the same time, he highlighted the tireless work and
willingness of President Nicolás Maduro to solve and
address the country's problems, adding that he is an example of work.
“We
workers are going to fulfill that plan of the 7 Transformations throughout our country,” he said and pointed out the importance of winning a
new victory on July 27.
For his part, the candidate for councilman,
Hernán Iriarte, pointed out the continuous organization of fighting bodies to
defend Caracas, as part of a historic role of the working class. “We are going to
a resounding victory on July 27, the working class is at stake with
our candidate, Carmen Meléndez,” he said.
On behalf of working class youth,
Jesús Batista, raised the National Popular Youth Consultation as a historic milestone.
“First time in Venezuela, youth decide on projects for
communities, we will be the guarantors of 2,093 projects, of which 299
will be elected and financed by our National Government,” he said.
In addition, it ensured the subsequent execution of the second most voted projects by youth in Caracas. In turn, she pointed out that candidate Meléndez will work to “build our future, [...] to occupy positions to enhance each of our projects, and to move forward with our vanguard, she has this young working class.”
