From the national headquarters of the Great Venezuela Youth Mission (GMVJ), the celebration of the 2nd Anniversary of this public policy was held, on a day that brought together national authorities and youth representatives from different states of the country.
The activity was attended by the president of the Great Venezuela Youth Mission, Genesis Garvett; the Minister of Popular Power for Youth, Sergio Lotartaro; the Secretary General of Youth of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (JPSUV), Grecia Colmenares; and the deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Nicolás Maduro Guerra.
The GMVJ commemorates two years since its creation, as a public policy promoted at the initiative of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Madur, or, aimed at placing Venezuelan youth at the center of social formation, integral development and the transformation of the country.
Since its inception, the GMVJ has been consolidated as the synthesis of the public policies of the Bolivarian Revolution aimed at accompanying young people at all stages of their lives, recognizing them as strategic actors in national development and protagonists of the country's project.
During the anniversary day, a gallery exhibition was held that demonstrated the institutional support for Venezuelan youth, as well as the presentation of stands dedicated to the seven vertices of the mission, where those responsible for each axis presented the comprehensive protection work that is being carried out in favor of youth throughout the national territory.
In this context, Garvett emphasized that the Great Venezuela Youth Mission, initiatives of President Maduro, constantly proposed how to accompany and support Venezuelan youth, embodying the project of this mission in his own handwriting.
He also stressed that the GMVJ is part of a youth revolution, pointing out that one of the greatest achievements achieved in these two years has been the planting of revolutionary behavior among youth, visible in the materialization of dreams and projects, such as those that emerged from the First Popular Youth Consultation.
During 2025, the mission made significant progress in the territorialization of youth public policy, ensuring comprehensive care for young people across the country.
This sustained presence in communities has made it possible to bring youth policies closer to the specific realities of each territory, strengthening youth leadership and coordination with local organizational structures, in line with the impetus of the Community Government.
Garvett highlighted that the Great Venezuela Youth Mission is deeply connected to the reality, dreams and hopes of Venezuelan youth, who today materialize those desires with their own hands. “That is the essence of the mission: we must have a missionary and missionary spirit, not a bureaucratic spirit,” he said.
Looking ahead to the year 2026, he announced that young people will take up the Admirable Challenge with commitment, together with the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez, stressing that young people are fully aware of their historic role in the coming months.
He reaffirmed that the Mission will continue to grow as an organized, participatory and deeply territorialized youth policy, aligned with the seven strategic lines guided by President Maduro, promoting the transformation of the State from the territorial and the popular.
“We will continue to build a homeland with peace, love, sovereignty and creativity; the Great Venezuela Youth Mission will continue to be light, hope and the collective embrace of President Nicolás Maduro for all the youth who dream, believe and live,” he concluded.
