Gran Misión Venezuela Mujer has formed more than 204 thousand territorial and sectoral committees

The Minister of Popular Power for Women and Gender Equality, Dheliz Álvarez, reported that more than two thousand deployments were carried out in the national territory to organize the Women's Committee and more than 204,000 Territorial and Sectorial Committees were formed that are part of the Great Venezuela Women's Mission.

At the event on the occasion of the launch of the Great Movement of Women's Movements “Josefa Joaquina Sánchez”, led by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, the minister explained that on average, each grass-roots committee is comprised of 3 to 15 women who will constitute “the organizational base of the Great Movement”.

She explained that grouped in grassroots committees, women will be guarantors of coordination with political, social, economic or cultural organizations, to name a few, to consolidate every corner of the Great Venezuela Women's Mission from the community.

For her part, the person responsible for the 5th summit called Protagonist and Participatory Women, Francis Vielma, pointed out that “we are going to deploy on a national scale with a mission: to unite each of the political, sectorial and territorial movements and organizations to carry the message and seek women to continue fighting for equality and social justice”.
