Guaicaipura Mayor's Office will guarantee construction materials for infrastructure repair

With the creation of an initial emergency fund of two million dollars, the Mayor's Office of the Guaicaipura municipality of Miranda state will guarantee the provision of construction materials for the repair of educational infrastructures, houses, churches and public spaces in the Altomirandine jurisdiction that were affected by the recent earthquakes of June 24.

This was reported by the mayor, Farith Fraija, during the formal beginning of the deployment of crews and volunteering to immediately recover 25 schools damaged by the earthquake.

He explained that these resources will be used for the next 18 to 24 months. “With these resources, we guarantee not only material for schools, but also the care of affected homes, churches and public spaces,” Gobernación de Miranda press reports.

He explained that in the first phase of recovery of educational infrastructures, they will focus on carrying out moderate repair work, without structural risk, in priority schools, such as UEE Buenos Aires, UEAE Cecilio Acosta and UEN Cecilio Acosta I, tasks that will benefit nearly 3,000 students.

He said that for this purpose, five specialized crews were activated together with the Miranda Government team, the local government secretariats, and the organized community that joined together to paint, waterproof and recover the spaces.

“We know that there are eight institutions with more complex structural damage, such as the Liceo Francisco de Miranda. For them, we are already preparing a subsequent phase of deep intervention with specialized engineering. No one is going to be left out,” he said.

Continuing with the Venezuela Renace Plan in the Guaicapuro municipality, this Thursday, 57 families living in the Cumbre Alta Residences in the La Matica sector received their construction certificates from the hands of the local mayor, aid intended for the repair of their apartments that were affected by the earthquakes of June 24.

In this regard, the Mayor's Office invested 13,850 dollars for the repair of each of the buildings, together with 2,543 dollars in masonry materials, destined for the common areas of the four towers, spaces where workers and technicians are already deployed.
