In the context of the Venezuelan Plain Tourism Carnival, in its 59th edition, more than 380 copies of the best animal genetics are held at the 32nd Agricultural Fair of the Unare River Basin — Zaraza 2025, an event that celebrates every year the excellence of livestock farming that takes place in the east of the Guárico state.
The exhibition takes place from March 01 to 04, and was inaugurated in the General Pedro Zaraza fairgrounds by the governor of the entity, José Vásquez, the mayor of the municipality Pedro Zaraza, Carlos Castillo; the Secretary of the Economic Area, Héctor Vásquez and the president of the livestock exhibition, Tania Romero.
According to the authorities, some 36 breeds of cattle, goats, buffalo, pigs, horses and poultry are on display in more than 1800 square meters.
They mentioned that more than 80% of these animals were born thanks to reproductive biotechnology, with the application of advanced techniques such as embryo transplantation and artificial insemination.
The meeting brings together 45 producers from the states of Guárico, Monagas and Anzoátegui.
The regional president pointed out that these Zaracean fairs once again serve as a platform to show the country and the world the potential and livestock quality of the Llanero state.
Vásquez highlighted that Guárico ranks fourth among the regions of the country with the highest livestock production and covers 25.81% of national consumption.
For Monday, March 03, starting at 10:00am, the weight-weight competition, female and male specimens will be held; at 02:00pm, the trial of dairy cattle, phenotype competition and their crosses is scheduled to take place; and at nightfall they will hold the competition for the best udder, milker and dairy cattle driver.
On March 4th, starting at 02:00pm, a cultural act of llanera music will be staged in the courtroom of the fairgrounds, the equine exhibition and trial and the parade of champions: award ceremony and closing of the 32nd agricultural fairs.
