The Venezuelan Gustavo Pérez won the silver medal in men's speed climbing at the Santa Fe 2026 South American Games.
The Venezuelan scored second place on the podium with a record of 7.76.
“I am grateful for everything we have achieved, I know that we can give much more, but these are details,” said Gustavo Pérez.
The men's speed honor roll was led by Ecuadorian Carlos Granja with 5.54 and the third place went to Argentinian Valentin Sternik.
