Head of State: Chávez is a leader recognized and loved by the Peoples of five continents

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during an Assembly of Comuneras and Comuneros of Popular Power in Caracas, reiterated that Commander Hugo Chávez is a leader who in the 21st century transcended Venezuela to be a recognized figure in the world.

“Commander Chávez is a giant of the 21st century who transcended Venezuela, America and is a recognized, loved and remembered leader in the world,” said the president who thanked the people of Africa, Asia, Europe and America for the founder of the Bolivarian Revolution.

He recalled that after Simón Bolívar his ideals were betrayed and Commander Chávez had to come to restore the project of a free and sovereign homeland.

“Our Commander Chávez was the great resurrector of the liberator Simon Bolivar and his original project of freedom, justice and union. That's why, 12 years later, we carry in our skin and in our daily action the essence of the refounder Hugo Chávez,” he said.
