Head of State delivers new headquarters for feminist education: Nora Castañeda International School

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, inaugurated this Tuesday the headquarters of the “Nora Castañeda” International School of Women's Leadership, in Maracay, Aragua state.

The event, which takes place in the community of Bello Monte, specifically in the Simon Educational Complex, represents a historic milestone that fulfills the promise made by the National President on March 8.

With the opening of this center, the Bolivarian Government is making progress in strengthening the national training network, as part of the Fourth Transformation (Q4) of the 7 Transformations, a plan that outlines and pursues the construction of an egalitarian and just society.

The School will not only be an academic space, but also a center of professionalization that will offer diplomas in Research and Theory of Feminism, Leadership and Women's Empowerment, Areas of Production and Professionalization of Trades.

This new headquarters was designed to serve women organized in the Great Movement of Movements “Josefa Joaquina Sánchez”, community councils and other forms of social organization.

Its facilities include 18 educational environments, including an exclusive computer room and state-of-the-art technology. It also has sheds for productive workshops, an auditorium for 200 people and an outdoor gym.

In addition, it has bedrooms with capacity for 200 people, a dining room, an industrial kitchen and a Women's Unit with dentistry, imaging, gynecology, nursing and general medicine services.
