This Monday, August 4, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, faced with the unusual rains in the regions of Los Andes and Los Llanos, due to climate change, confirmed that the Bolivarian Government has managed to cope in real time through a series of interventions to serve communities affected by these rains.

He stressed that fortunately, due to the preventive measures of the Communes and the Communal Circuits, “thank God, dozens of lives have been saved, with measures that have been tested with Civil Protection, the Popular Power, with the Bolivarian National Police and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces.”

“We are taking care of families affected by rains in Guárico and Apure. We have had to take measures to mitigate river growth,” he said.

During the Digital Zone segment, in the 87th broadcast of the Con Maduro+ program, he noted that in the region of Los Llanos, which “have been the most affected in the last three weeks, we have had incredible floods.”

“We had to take measures in real time with the ministers in charge to mitigate river growth,” he said.

The head of state reported that the Bolivarian Government is still on the ground, especially in the state of Apure, where the Ministries linked to the area are Public Works; Transportation and Electric Energy, among other governmental bodies.
