Head of State highlighted agreement with Russian company to produce insulin in Venezuela

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, during the 79th broadcast of his program Con Maduro+, stressed that during his visit to Russia he had the opportunity to form an agreement to produce insulin in the country that would guarantee treatments for people affected by diabetes.

“Insulin is going to be produced in Venezuela, so we signed an agreement with a company from St. Petersburg to produce insulin in Venezuela; in an alliance with a powerful pharmaceutical company that is very advanced from a technological point of view,” he said.

He also highlighted the arrival in the country of 700,000 doses of BCG vaccine for the National Plan for Children's Immunization, thanks to the relationship with countries such as Cuba, Iran, Russia and China.
