Head of State highlighted the work of Argentinian writer Vicente Battista, winner of the Rómulo Gallegos prize

President Nicolás Maduro received this Monday in his program Con Maduro+ the winner of the National Novel Prize Rómulo Gallegos, in its twenty-first edition, Vicente Battista.

The award was presented last Saturday, August 2, to the Argentine writer for his work “The simulacrum of mirrors”. The event coincided with the celebration of the 141st anniversary of the birth of the distinguished Venezuelan writer Rómulo Gallegos.

The Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, said that the call for the award transcends the ocean, demonstrating that the Venezuelan people are not alone. He mentioned that the “dictatorship of algorithm and technology seeks to impose itself, and suggested using technology strategically, since today Mister Danger is disguised as technology”.


The Head of State highlighted that 513 Spanish-speaking works participated this year.
