The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted this Monday the growth of commercial exchange with Colombia.

During the 99th broadcast of his program Con Maduro+, from the Salvador Allende Latin American School of Medicine, the head of state noted that “today Venezuela produces more and exports more to Colombia. And we are importing what is necessary for internal production processes.”

He recalled that in the past, “when the Colombia-Venezuela trade balance reached 11 billion dollars (...) it was unbalanced. Colombians were selling us 10 billion, we were selling close to a billion.”

In this regard, he stressed that “now we have a more balanced balance and what is growing is a healthy balance”, so he urged us to maintain “relations of respect, peace and open borders” so that “the economic development of investments, trade and the operation of the border” is for mutual benefit”.
