In a meeting with the governor of St. Petersburg, Alexandr Beglov, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, called for the consolidation of comprehensive cooperation between the South American nation and the Russian Federation.

“We must continue to build bridges where our countries come together. Consolidate comprehensive cooperation,” said the Venezuelan head of state from the Government Palace, “Smolny”.

He stressed that Venezuela “is rising, with great effort, from the war and the economic blockade” imposed by the United States (USA) and its allies. “Just as this nation has achieved it,” he said, referring to Russia, the country most illegally sanctioned by the West.

“This is the formula, self-effort. We are already in a position to put our achievements in the 13 Economic Engines at the service of cooperation plans to share and attract investment and development together,” he said.
