Head of State leads the launch of the “Josefa Joaquina Sánchez” Women's Movement

At a busy event held in the Acoustic Shell of Simon Bolivar Park, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, announced that the Great Movement of Women's Movements, Unitary and Diverse, “Josefa Joaquina Sánchez” kicks off with more than 5 million four hundred registered women.

More than 5 million 400 thousand women have registered who have given their vote of faith, of hope to the Great Venezuela Women's Mission,” announced the president, who highlighted the organizing power of Venezuelan women who reached this figure after setting up 203 thousand territorial committees and censoring sectoral movements.

The Head of State also emphasized the diversity of the movement. She mentioned that there are various sectoral women's movements throughout the country, such as Unamujer, indigenous women, Afro-descendants, workers, peasants, fisherwomen, professionals and artists, among other sectors.

This Great Movement, which is made up of 517 leaders of women's social organizations from all over the national territory, ensuring compliance with the policies of the Great Venezuela Women's Mission and all its vertices.

One of the premises of the movement is the deployment and execution of the Venezuelan Women's Agenda for Women's Empowerment, Equity and Equality, focused on the 2024-2030 transformation.

To fulfill this agenda, meetings will be held in the 4,500 communal circuits of the country's states.

They accompany the Head of State, Cilia Flores de Maduro, first combatant and deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Delcy Rodríguez, Executive Vice President of the Republic, Gabriela Jiménez, Sectorial Vice President for Science, Technology, Education and Health and Minister of Popular Power for Science and Technology, Dheliz Álvarez, Minister of Popular Power for Women and Gender Equality, authorities, the Executive Office and special guests
