The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,
Nicolás Maduro, met this Monday with the different leaders of
the opposition who recently declared themselves independent and expressed
their support for the presidential elections on July 28,
for the formation of a National Front for Peace.
From the Miraflores Palace, in Caracas, the Head of
State valued the public reflections and pronouncements of the leaders, trained in the opposition,
in favor of peace, coexistence and the search for consensual paths.
“I think it's very good that all these things can be
reflected in the sun, as they say, the most important thing is not an individual, a
person, here what is important is the common destiny of a country. There
will always be differences, positions, positions (...) we are just an atom in the history of
humanity and an atom in the history of the country all of us who are here,”
he said.
The President pointed out that “no one can pretend that this
is the beginning and the end of history, no one is the beginning and the end. The
biggest one we have had here is on my back, Simón Bolívar, and he never
pretended to be the beginning and the end but to point out a path and boy did he point it
out.”
