Head of State: Motor Agrícola maintains continuous growth for 2025

During the “Digital Zone” segment of his Con Maduro+ program, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted that the Agricultural Engine is in continuous growth, as part of the advances of the Economic Recovery Plan for this year 2025.

The Minister of Popular Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Julio León Heredia, gave details of the advances that have been achieved between the year 2018-2025, in the production of the different items of the basic food basket:

White corn, its increase has been more than 71%, so he added that compared to 2018, when there were 21 brands of cob flour, there are now 48 brands and at fair prices.

As for animal protein (eggs), he noted that production growth has been 71%.

For chicken, there was an increase of 53% and with the capacity to export.

Up to 2024, rice production was 46%.

In this context, the head of state stressed that in Venezuela 100% of national production must be guaranteed, because we have the capacity to achieve this and, in addition, “we have the concept of conuco in its different scales, regenerative agriculture that is free of chemicals, pesticides and poisons.”

The Agrifood Engine in the country has been promoted with the purpose of following up on the achievements achieved, mainly in terms of the production and export of domestic products.
