Head of State praises GNB's role in defeating extremist violence

In the framework of the 88th Anniversary of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), this Monday the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the leading role of the military institution in the defeat of the violent attempts promoted by the Venezuelan right and its international allies .

From Villa Zoila, the symbolic place where the first command of this military corps was established, the Head of State stated that the GNB “has undertaken to build a powerful component that occupies all the spaces and dimensions of our Homeland, guaranteeing internal order in a special way at all junctures of attack: fascist violence, terrorism and narco-terrorism”.

In this regard, he reaffirmed the willingness of this important component of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to continue to protect the Venezuelan people, in strict accordance with socialist and anti-imperialist principles.

“At all times, the professional National Guard has been there, guaranteeing the internal order and peace of our country,” he emphasized, ratifying the Bolivarian Government 's unrestricted support for the Nation's military forces.
