Head of State: Supreme Court decision on Maikelys Espinoza reiterates parental authority of her parents

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, stressed that the decision of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) in the case of the girl Maikelys Espinoza opens a debate about who exercises parental authority in the United States, a country in which it seems that it is allowed to tear a daughter out of her mother's arms.

“The Social Chamber of the Supreme Court decrees preventive measures for the return of the girl Maikelys Espinoza and declares parental authority in favor of the mother. Can the immigration authority in the United States arbitrarily remove parental authority? His biological mother has it, as ratified by the Supreme Court in Venezuela. The United States government has only one way left: to recognize and immediately return the girl Maikelys Espinoza,” emphasized the Head of State in his Con Maduro+ program.
