The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the roots of the Bolivarian Revolution this Wednesday, after 12 years of Commander Hugo Chávez's passage to immortality.
“This Revolution was not given to us by anyone. This Revolution was born out of the bowels of a centuries-old history. This Revolution has its own roots,” said the Head of State from the El Panal Commune, during an assembly of community members of the People's Power.
He noted that the Bolivarian Revolution has its roots in Commander Chávez's Blue Book, and “it serves as manual support for understanding where we come from, where we are and where we are going.”
“We have our roots. We share deep roots with sister revolutionary processes in Venezuela, such as the process of the Cuban Revolution, the Nicaraguan Revolution, the Bolivian Revolution, the Central American Revolution, the Caribbean Revolution, because we are part of a great movement (...) The Bolivarian Revolution of the Twentieth Century is part of a great liberation movement in Latin America and the Caribbean with its own roots, with its own way of being and doing,” emphasized the Dignitary.
