The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, paid tribute to Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez, on the 12th anniversary of his planting.

Through his account on the social network Telegram, the Head of State described the departure of the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution as one of the most shocking blows the Venezuelan people and the world have received.

“We converted the terrible pain of those hours, days and years, into love, strength, courage and courage, and we united firmly to overcome ourselves, lift our heads to the horizon and continue the march with the conviction that we are on the right side of history, building the Bolivarian project,” he wrote.

He also reiterated his commitment to the legacy of Commander Chávez: “We have not failed him, and we will never fail him. Long live his memory and legacy forever!”
