Health sector workers in Nueva Esparta support revolutionary candidate Marisel Velásquez

In the state of Nueva Esparta, this Thursday, May 08, a meeting of health workers was held with the candidates of the Great Patriotic Pole Simón Bolívar (GPPSB), in which doctors, nurses, technicians, social promoters, students and other health personnel participated, who supported the candidate for the Government, Marisel Velásquez, highlighting her commitment to public health.

In her speech, candidate Velásquez said that one of the main priorities in her government plan is to strengthen the health sector.

Nueva Esparta has a first-line health infrastructure, and our commitment is to reorganize and optimize it so that each circuit, both one and two, works with maximum efficiency,” said a note published on the website of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).

He stressed that this action “will make it possible to decongest hospitals and strengthen primary care from our outpatient network, activating all the programs that already exist within the health system.”

In this regard, he said that “with the Government of the State in our hands, we will prioritize the rehabilitation of the Oncology Doctor, as well as the Luis Ortega Hospital, in order to repromote the entire health system with a human approach, based on brotherhood, sensitivity and hope. We will succeed because we have the experience, knowledge and determination to work as a team.”

He added that the strategy is based on coordination between institutions, health professionals and communities, ensuring that every resource is used to the maximum. “It's not just about infrastructure, but about a management model that is close, effective and committed to the well-being of all Spartans,” he said.

The candidate said that the Government will establish a support system for health system workers to meet their main needs.

Also present at the event were the candidates for the National Assembly (AN): Yuliana Ramos (national list), América Pérez, Carola Chávez and Jorge Peña; and for the Legislative Council: Osmicar Cabezas.

In addition, the event was accompanied by Dr. Daniels Domínguez, health authority in the entity and other leaders of the sector.
