The Multidisciplinary Water Team successfully completed the repair and optimization work on the 36-inch diameter main pipe, corresponding to line 1 (Tronconales) of the José Antonio Anzoátegui water treatment plant, in Barcelona.
The actions included an uninterrupted deployment of 72 hours of continuous work, where engineers, technicians and operational personnel carried out the appropriate maneuvers to achieve the restoration and correct compensation of the water system, the Ministry of People's Power for Water reported on its website.
The approach plan included two strategic fronts: in the Tumba de Bello sector (Tronconal III), the technical staff successfully installed three large flanks (up to 1.70 meters in length).
While in the Boyacá VI sector, the intervention of 8 critical points was concluded by placing 7 flanges in the main pipe of 36 inches in diameter, in addition to the replacement of 4.20 meters of 4 inch PVC pipe with a bolted dresser joint.
With the 100% completion of these works, the Bolivarian Government reaffirms its commitment to corrective maintenance and the optimization of the distribution of water resources in the northern part of the state of Anzoátegui.
