For the first time in the history of the award, the three Venezuelan masks will compete to win the Golden Glove on the old Major League Baseball Circuit.

The list is made up of Gabriel Moreno, brand-new champion beats with the Arizona Jingle Bells; Freddy Fermín, of the San Diego Padres; and Luis Torrens, of the New York Mets, reviews the Úlmas Noticias newspaper.

If he were awarded, Moreno would win his second Golden Glove of his career after the one won in 2023.

The company Rawlings announced the finalists for the Golden Glove in the major leagues, highlighting the presence of eight Venezuelan players spread over the different defensive lists.

On the prairies of the National League, the three-time 20/20 of the Milwaukee Brewers, Jackson Chourio, earned his first nomination as left fielder after a solid defensive contest, sharing a spot with Ian Happ (Chicago Cubs) and Daylen Lile (Washington Nationals).

Utility Ildemaro Vargas was rewarded with a consistent campaign with the Arizona Jingle Bells by appearing as a finalist in the multipurpose role of the National League, sharing distinction with Jared Triolo (Pittsburgh Pirates) and Honduran Mauricio Dubón (Atlanta Braves).

For his part, Javier Sanoja confirmed his evolution with the glove: after being a finalist and winning the utility prize last season, this time he was nominated among the best forerunners on the circuit together with Alex Bregman (Cubs) and Max Muncy (Los Angeles Dodgers).

In the American League, the Venezuelan representation has an elite duo, with Wilyer Abreu starting as the main candidate to obtain his third consecutive Gold Glove in the right field of the new circuit, sharing the roster with Cam Smith (Houston Astros) and Nathan Lukes (Toronto Blue Jays).

For his part, Andrés Giménez joined the shortstop shortstop list for the second consecutive year, after winning three gold mittens at second base. This time he competes against Taylor Walls (Tampa Bay Rays) and Bobby Witt Jr. (Kansas City Royals).
