Homeland candidates in Lara commit to defending ecosocialist causes

Along with environmental, environmental and ecosocialist movements, the Homeland's candidates for the national and regional parliament of the state of Lara announced their proposals and seek solutions to practices that currently threaten the environment in the region.

During the meeting, the candidate for the National Assembly for Circuit 2, Paola García, expressed her commitment to be a spokesperson for the coffee and environmental sectors in parliament. Among the proposals he heard, the expansion of Terepaima Park, the protection of the semiarid region of Larense and the rescue and care of hydrographic basins stand out, in order to promote sustainable development in the region.

Various movements participated in this meeting, such as Agroecological Barquisimeto, Guardians of the Mountain, Cotoperí, the Venezuelan Ecological Movement, as well as the Ecosocialist Youth of the PSUV and the Larense Semiarid Observatory. The diversity of voices reflects the collective commitment to protecting the environment and promoting sustainable practices.

For her part, the candidate for the Legislative Council of the state Lara by ready vote, Flor Escalona, announced that they will propose the State Environmental Law, a fundamental regulation to protect living spaces, high basins and rivers that also benefit the Portuguese state, since they are born in Lara. In addition, he stressed that they will promote laws for the protection of Yacambú Park, the semiarid part of Larense and the promotion of aquaculture, so that communities can sustain themselves and generate resources without damaging nature.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, Ricardo Molina, who listened carefully to the proposals of the environmental movements of the state of Lara and highlighted that the Great Mother Earth Venezuela Mission was created with clear goals to promote sustainable development in the region, which reaffirms the national's commitment to the protection of nature and the well-being of the people.
