Hospital Universitario de Caracas performed 20 surgeries with robotic technology

The University Hospital of Caracas (HUC) successfully performed 20 highly complex interventions using robotic surgery, with no reported complications, which represents a milestone in the modernization of services, reported the Ministry of Popular Power for Health (MINSALUD).

The advance was possible thanks to the technological resources promoted by the National Executive and the work of a team of specialists. In General Surgery, Dr. Omaira Rodríguez leads the use of this technology, while in Urology, doctors Herman Cruz and Natalia Otaño applied the robotic system to treat complex oncological diseases, such as prostate and kidney diseases, where precision is decisive.

“With these actions, the National Government reaffirms its commitment to the Venezuelan people by equipping hospitals with new technologies and ensuring health for Venezuelan citizens,” said the ministry.
