This Monday, Hungary reported a new attack on its energy security, after a vital oil supply pipeline was attacked by Ukrainian forces.

Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto called the attack “outrageous and unacceptable”, stressing that the interruption of the fuel supply seriously affects the country's energy stability.

Through a message on his X account, the Hungarian Foreign Minister stated that, according to information from the Russian Deputy Energy Minister, Pavel Sorokin, experts are working to repair damage to an electrical substation that is key to the operation of the oil pipeline. However, there is no definite time frame for the restoration of the service.

“This attack is part of the ongoing attempts by Brussels and Kiev to drag Hungary into the Ukrainian conflict,” Szijjarto said, stressing that his nation will stay out of the war. “As long as we are in charge, Hungary will not participate in this conflict.”

The Russian Federation, through its spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, described the Kiev government as an “immoral and bloodthirsty monster”.

Zakharova accused Ukraine of carrying out attacks in various regions of the world, pointing to its operations in Africa, the Middle East and the trafficking of arms and organs in Europe.
