Hurricane Flossie, intensified to category 2, moves across the Pacific Ocean in the direction of Mexico, 285 km southwest of Manzanillo, Colima, with winds of 175 km/h and, according to the National Weather Service, will cause torrential rains in Guerrero and Michoacán, and heavy rainfall in Jalisco, Colima and Oaxaca.
The report of the National Weather Service (SMN) of Mexico, issued this Tuesday at 21:00 (Central Mexico time), quoted by the Telesur portal, states that the center of the hurricane was located 285 km southwest of Manzanillo, Colima, with a north latitude of 17.1 and a west longitude of 105.6.
The cyclone is moving west-northwest at a speed of 17 km/h, with maximum sustained winds of 175 km/h and gusts of up to 215 km/h.
