Hurricane Isaías left hundreds of thousands of homes without electricity in the United States

Florida, Alabama and Georgia concentrate more than 850,000 homes without electricity service following the passage of Hurricane Isaías in the southeastern United States, where the phenomenon caused floods, falling trees and damage to infrastructure.

Florida has the highest number of interruptions, with more than 420,000 homes affected, followed by Alabama, with more than 320,000, and Georgia, with more than 103,000, according to information from RT.

Isaías made landfall Friday night near Destin, in northwestern Florida, as a category 2 hurricane, with sustained winds of up to 165 kilometers per hour, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Although it lost intensity shortly after reaching land, it affected several areas of the region.
