The President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, presented this Friday the Lanceros de la Victoria Endogenous Development Center, in the Caricuao parish of Caracas, and highlighted the role of the communal economy and its territorial impact.
“This economy, to which we have given impetus, to entrepreneurship, to the communal economy, is an economy that supports economic growth, but mainly contributes to life, to the community, to the supply of food and services,” said the president.
Rodríguez highlighted organized community participation with specific objectives and described the space as “extraordinarily impactful”, with more than 21 productive areas. “The impact on the community is direct,” he said.
The Head of State pointed out that the communal economy generates significant savings. “When you see that they come from Guárico from a productive community commune and that meat goes directly to the butcher shop that is here in the community, and from the butcher shop there is also the communal warehouse, there you have savings of between 40 and 60% for access by Venezuelans,” he explained.
Rodríguez advocated the chain of the national economy. “The communal economy, as I have called it, is linked nationally, making a chain, what we are seeing here, how the cities of the economy in the cities communicate with the rural economy and all have a very positive impact and contribute to the country's economic growth,” he said.
The president reaffirmed her vision of economic growth. “I don't believe in economic growth that creates inequality. Economic growth must encompass them all and must, above all, create equality, equal opportunities, equal access,” he said. “That's what we're looking for with this development model inspired by Bolívar in Angostura.”
