II Open National Kickboxing Cup starts in Lara with 300 athletes

The Los Gemelos gym in Barquisimeto, Lara state, will host the II National Open Kickboxing Cup, where 300 athletes from 17 states of the country will compete from August 1 to 3, in preparation for the Bolivarian Games to be held in Lima and Ayacucho in Peru, between November 22 and December 7.

The National Open, organized by the Venezuelan Kickboxing Federation, will include the participation of delegations from Anzoátegui, Aragua, Bolívar, Carabobo, Capital District, Cojedes, Falcón, Lara, La Guaira, Miranda, Nueva Esparta, Portuguesa, Táchira, Trujillo, Yaracuy and Zulia in the children's, cadets, junior and senior categories.

Among the fighters who will compete in the second National Open Kickboxing Cup are the Bolivarian and Pan-American champion Joel Vásquez, the world runner-up Alexander Gudiño and the bronze medalist in the World Cup in Portugal, in 2023, Waleska Panizzo.

The first National Open Cup was held on June 13 and 14 with the best representatives of kickboxing in Venezuela, in a show that brought together several athletes from 12 associations in the country at the handball gym of the Paramillo Sports Complex in the city of San Cristóbal, in the state of Táchira.
