In Room 1 of the National Art Gallery (GAN), the exhibition Imaginary Caribbean, by renowned muralist Felipe García, was installed as part of the 20th edition of the Venezuela International Book Fair 2024 (FILVEN).

According to information from the Ministry for Culture, the Imaginary Caribbean exhibition is a colorful exhibition, which is defined by its creator as very fanciful.

“Art and culture in general is a way of revolutionizing the world, I don't believe in revolution if there isn't an artistic component, a cultural component,” he said.

For her part, the Deputy Minister of Culture for the Arts of the Image and Space, Mary Pemjean, said that “this work recreates with color, with magic, what our country is, what our people are; that joy that fills the heart and spirit with art”.
