The National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) made significant improvements to the 34.5 kV lines that connect the “Luisa Cáceres de Arismendi” Thermoelectric Plant, with the substations of the Tubores and Macanao Peninsula municipalities, benefiting more than 8,000 Neo-Spartan inhabitants.

According to a press release, the actions included the replacement of ceramic insulators with polymeric insulators, which offer greater resistance to adverse weather conditions and guarantee a more stable electrical grid. In addition, lines were tensioned, contributing to a more reliable electrical service in the region.

The communities benefited are Chacachacares, Santa Boca de Rio, San Francisco, Robledal, Boca de Pozo, El Espinal, Las Guevaras, Las Hernández, Villa Zoita, Conuco Viejo, Portal de La Laguna, as well as Francisco de Miranda Urban Planning, among others.
