During 2024, the National Assembly (AN) will approve a series of laws to promote the economic development of our country, said the recently re-elected president of the parliament, Jorge Rodríguez.

In this regard, he explained that among one of the legislative proposals planned to be approved this year is the Digital Commerce Act, which is an option to address some of the gaps in the Commercial Code that is still in force.

“In addition, the Executive is working on a bill for foreign investment in times of economic war. There is also another one for the development of renewable energies and other than fossil fuels,” Rodríguez said during statements given after the installation of the new session of Parliament.

He also highlighted that another legal instrument that is about to be approved in the second discussion is the Oil Exports Act.
