The director of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Mohammad Eslami, sent a letter to the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), in which he demanded an urgent investigation of Israel into the illegal attack of the United States (USA) against the nuclear facilities of the Islamic Republic.
“The U.S. bombing constitutes a violation of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and of international law,” Eslami said.
Iran called on all countries to defend peace and international law and to take concrete actions to protect the principles of the NPT and ensure the non-repetition of similar attacks.
He also warned of international silence in the face of aggression, which opens the door to a new era of impunity and would undermine the foundations of the multilateral order.
