Through a special care plan, the government of Ocumare de la Costa de Oro in the state of Aragua is carrying out a plan for the collection of solid waste, which has reached 630 tons so far this month.
This is a plan that includes collection in residential areas as well as beaches, tourist parks, main roads and commercial areas, said Mayor Wilmer Leal in a press release.
Among the sectors served are La Constancia, La Vaquera, La Reserva, La Boca, El Playón, Caico, Jesús Ignacio School, and others.
In addition to the collection at the places where the waste is concentrated, the crews of the Municipal Urban Maintenance Directorate have taken on the task of sweeping and clearing the roads of any waste in order to strengthen cleaning and minimize the risk factors of diseases and toxicity in the territory.
In addition, with the support of Costas de Aragua, a cleaning day is being carried out at kilometer 13 of the road that connects Maracay with the coastal municipality of Pa, after guaranteeing better conditions for the users of this road artery.
