With a large participation, the nomination meetings of candidates were held for the elections of governors, regional deputies and the National Assembly to be held on May 25 in the state of Sucre.
“It was a quick, busy and above all organized day. A lot of young people and a lot of workers, of course, as always the women in charge of the organization and logistics in each commune,” explained Omar Manuit from the Vencadores de Santa Inés Tourist District.
He added that they started punctually at 2:00 in the afternoon. “It's an example of participatory democracy. An unprecedented event in the country. This is only possible in revolution,” added Yusmery Romero from the Campeche Somos Todos Commune in the Santa Inés parish in the Sucre municipality.
