In an official gazette dated November 29, 2024, the Official Gazette of the Simon Bolivar Liberator Law in Defense of the Homeland.

After passing the sanctioning process in the National Assembly (AN) and the approval of the President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro, this legal instrument came into force, which seeks to sanction with disqualification or 30 years in prison those who conspire against the Homeland.

Among other points, the approved law provides for the lifelong disqualification of politicians who have called for invasions from other countries and unilateral restrictive measures against the nation.
