The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (INAMEH) reported that the country began the day with fragmented cloud cover, although it noted that cloud covers and convective cores capable of producing rains of varying intensity with possible electrical discharges will develop during the day.
The agency indicated that the most important accumulations will be concentrated in areas of Amazonas, Portuguesa, the northwest of Barinas, as well as in sectors of Táchira, Mérida and the south of Lake Maracaibo.
Inameh explained that several tropical waves are moving through the region and that two of these systems will approach the coast of Guiana Essequiba in the coming days, which will increase atmospheric instability.
The report detailed that Tropical Wave number 7 is located over Costa Rica with an advance of close to 25 kilometers per hour and with no direct impact on Venezuela due to its position south of 15° north latitude and close to 83° west longitude.
The institute noted that tropical waves 8 and 9 continue to move through the Central Tropical Atlantic, close to 49° west longitude and south of 17° north latitude, a condition that favors their advance to the east of the country.
The INAMEH estimates that these systems will approach Guiana Essequiba between Thursday, June 4 and the weekend with a speed close to 20 kilometers per hour.
