The National Chamber of Mechanical Workshops (CANATAME) and the National Institute for Socialist Training and Education (INCES) carried out a comprehensive training day at the headquarters of the latter, located on Avenida Nueva Granada, as a first step towards the renewal of an agreement that will include two pilot centers for curricular updating.

The strategic director of Training and Self-Development at INCES, Jorge Pérez, explained that the agenda responds to an articulated effort with different chambers. “For us, it represents a great boost to the country's curricular updating and technical training effort,” he said. The manager stressed that the goal is to strengthen productive engines and strengthen trade union organizations.

The INCES, according to a press release, lent its facilities to develop this first day, which included technical talks on certified spare parts, automotive lubrication, corporate insurance and automotive products. Firms such as Italven Group, NGK Spark Plugs, SKY Lubricants and Rushmore presented their advances. In addition, in some stands arranged in the square, the companies exhibited their products to CANATAME members, as well as to Inces teachers and participants who were present.

As part of the next agreement, INCES and CANATAME will launch two pilot centers for joint work: the Center for Socialist Formation (CFS) La Urbina and the CFS January 23. The training content for the automotive sector will be updated there. “We hope that this will be the first of many days, not only in Caracas but in automotive training centers nationwide,” Pérez closed.
