India: Landslide due to heavy rains devastates an entire town

This Tuesday, a large landslide occurred as a result of the heavy rains that hit the district of Uttarkashi, India devastated a large part of the town of Dharali, according to the country's authorities, fatalities have already been recorded.

The town was left with a picture of total destruction after the brutal avalanche. Through social networks, it has been possible to observe the force of nature after the flooding of the Kheerganga River, taking with it houses, buildings and hotels in Dharali, a town in that region.

At the moment, the exact number of deaths or missing persons due to the disaster that occurred around 1:30 p.m., is unknown.

However, rescue teams and emergency forces deployed in the area are working to search for potential survivors in the rubble and assist the victims.

Authorities issued alerts for other nearby towns, while damage assessment and rescue work continues.
