In addition, he reaffirmed his support for the cause of peace and the need to consolidate political mechanisms to address the current context.

Below is the full statement:

Venezuela is going through very complex times as a result of the military aggression perpetrated by the United States. UU. against the people and government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, on January 3, 2026.

Under these conditions, the Bolivarian Government, chaired by President (E) Delcy Eloína Rodríguez Gómez, has developed actions with the strategic objectives of: 1) preserving peace and stability of the homeland, 2) rescuing President Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores and 3) maintaining political power and the continuity of the revolutionary process, which implies performance in difficult and asymmetric conditions.

From the VIII Juan José Bautista School of Decolonial Critical Thinking, meeting in Caracas at the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies Rómulo Gallegos (CELARG) 27- 30 April 2026 we raise our voices to:

We express our solidarity with President (E) Delcy Eloina Rodríguez Gómez. Her courage as a woman in times of harsh and factual US imperialist aggression reveals her to us as a leader who has made it possible to guarantee the stability of the Venezuelan State and the peace of the Republic with political relevance and revolutionary aplomb.

We strongly condemn the illegal military aggression of the U.S. government. Department of State against Bolivar's homeland.

We raise our support for the common cause of peace in Bolivarian Venezuela and we support the just national, regional and international demands for the release and return of the constitutional president Nicolas Maduro Moros and the deputy Cilia Flores.

With sensible prudence and a sense of historical time, we trust in dialogic routes, not arrogant or selfish as sisters and brothers of the Bolivarian Revolutionary Historical Project.

Lucidity for restraint, tactical flexibility, clarity on the horizon and proactive tenderness to shield us in plural support for a Revolution that is going through a more complex and more complex “for now” of the most cunning, lucid and powerful expressions of communication and collective leadership. Unity and more unity. We Will Live and Conquer!
