International Book Fair in its 19th edition comes to Táchira this Thursday

Thursday, February 29, the International Book Fair of Venezuela (FILVEN)
in its 19th 2024 edition, arrives in the state of Táchira, in the city of San Cristóbal, with
the motto “Reading meets us again”.
According to information from Venezolana de
Televisión, the event will be held at the entity's Athenaeum until
March 2, with the support of the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture, through
the National Book Center (CENAL) and the State Cabinet of Culture.
During the meeting, visitors will be able
to purchase literary news, including those published through the
publishing house The Dog and the Frog, Monte Ávila and the Ayacucho Library, as well as by independent
publishers and local bookstores that will be published at this event.
In this regard, the fair will have an
extensive program of book presentations, talks, workshops,
activities in the children's pavilion and a variety of artistic and cultural expressions.
Among the special guests is the
poet, writer and cultural promoter Ana María Oviedo, who will present her
books El Reino de los Sauces and Palabras de salva, recently published by
the publisher Zócalo Editores.
In addition, the books Evening Fall, by Luis Alberto Angulo (
The Dog and the Frog); Time of Return, by
José Gregorio Hernández (Zócalo Editores); The Andeans in Power, by Domingo
Alberto Rangel (The Dog and the Frog); Life of Black Slaves in Venezuela, by
Miguel Acosta Saignes (The Dog and the Frog); as well as access to book presentations, talks, workshops, activities in the children's pavilion and a variety
of artistic expressions and
cultural.
